Eligibility Criteria for Admissions in Universities

In accordance with different levels of degree, Chinese universities have different requirements for all enrollees. Before applying, you must carefully review these requirements. Usually, non-degree language and culture programs have minimum requirements; as long as you have obtained a high school diploma or completed year 12 respectively, you can apply for admission.


Basic and General Criteria

While applying for admission into a corresponding university, ensure that your educational background and the age limit meet the requirements. These usually vary from program to program and are different with each university as well.

  1. Undergraduate programs: Applicants should have a senior high school diploma or year 12 completion certificate with good academic performance. They must also be under the age of 25.
  2. Masters degree programs: A Bachelor's degree with a good academic background and below 35 years of age is required.
  3. Doctoral degree: Applying candidates must possess a Masters degree that holds an excellent academic performance and are under the age of 40.
